Bucks vs Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Thread

Also Middleton the guy runs hot and gold way to much to be a legit #2 it seems when he's read hot he's on fire but when he sucks he sucks and won't stop trying to shoot out of it.
If you look at the splits and game logs that is really not true. The last 2 years he has shot 49% from the floor last year and 47% this year, and 41% from 3 both years, thats a legit #2 scorer both years over 20 PPG. And the worst thing a shooter should do is stop shooting, thats basketball 101 I learned in HS

The ball movement in the 1st quarter and 2nd was the best I have seen in over a month. As to Atlanta offense they had Gallinari and Hunter in iso most of the night so it was not so much ball movement. And if that offense has guys moving, then why did 60 of their 95 shots come from 2 guys? And more that a few of those were on offensive rebounds

As to getting others involved Lopez was a defensive liability and only played 20 minutes, Connaughton had 6 wide open looks. Yeah we live by the 3 and in todays NBA most teams do. When your best perimeter scores go 1-17 with open looks thats execution.

If you want to have a bitch with Bud, its on defense and thats very valid
But it was ball movement, and players moving off the ball. That's what created the open looks for both Hawks players. It doesn't just happen, when people stand around, off the ball. That's what the Bucks lack. The movement off the ball, that creates the looks for your main shooters.

Young got his looks in the paint and from deep, it was not from ball movement. Young is so ball dependent. Just look at his shot chart. Granted a few of Collins looks were form spacing but that offense is actually really similar to Milwaukee's. Gallinari had 9 shots mostly in iso, Huerter mostly created his own, (back to my defense rant) on help defense.

Look at his misses last night he did not play well.

Bucks will always let the guys shoot from 3 seems that they never defend the 3

Atlanta was 8-32 from 3 last night, that was not the issue for the defense, Young 4-13
No IMO main issue was lack of rebounding. Hawks were aggressive in going for them. Bucks seemed like if it boucnes to them great but did not fight for them.

Actually no except for the couple Collins got. As I said before, 2 were caused by Giannis being out of position trying to guard Young in the paint. He left Capella for help defense.

The 2 issues were strictly to defense. The inability to guard the pick and roll and letting Young penetration (leaving Capella) and the other was not going over screens which in a way is part of the switch issue. And again shooters not hitting shots with open looks.
