Badgers men's hockey team rallies from 3-0 deficit, ties No. 10 Ohio State

This will probably get posted at some point, but Milewski has an article (https://madison.com/sports/college/...b594e14327.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true )up for the State Journal about Cole Caufield being the first Badger to lead their (respective) league in scoring since Johnson/Eaves shared that title in the 77-78 WCHA, and since they split, Cole is the first Badger to do it outright! Congrats!

But the most interesting part of the article is what I put below, which is really telling but oh so obvious for us who have watched the season.

On Saturday, Montreal French-language newspaper La Presse published excerpts from an interview with Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin, who said he's going to recommend that Caufield return to the Badgers for another season instead of turning pro.

"In our eyes, he's not ready," Bergevin told La Presse. He said Caufield would be able to score at the NHL level but needs to work on his play without the puck.

I imagine a few guys heard from their rights-holders that they haven't been impressed with the way the season has gone. There's a 4-game unbeaten streak going against what were the #9 and #10 teams in the country. My guess is these kinds of convos are the spark.

I haven't listened to any of Granato's pressers this year, but I'd hedge that he's been saying similar things but that hasn't carried over game to game. We'll look good in one game of a series, first or 2nd, but flop the other.

That doesn't fly in the League.
