2026 NFL Season Thread

Brendan Sorsby put name in supplemental draft after the Big 12 filed a legal complaint in federal court to try to prevent him from playing.

the question is: will any team take him now? they're certainly not going to forfeit an early pick on a player who has shown he's only in it for himself.
 
He'll be drafted. He'll, if drops far enough, Gute will pick him. He'll be a good project backup and who knows.

Bill Polen on NFL radio this morning acting like gambling was the greatest sin ever and how the commish does not even had to hold a supplemental draft for him and can force him to wait to next year.

If NFL will take back people who beat there wives/GF, kill dogs, commit other crimes and even go to prison gambling should be a nothing burger to teams.
 
Good Quarterbacks are hard to find. I guarantee somebody takes a chance on him if he's allowed in.

I agree people who NFL beat there wives/GF, kill dogs, commit other crimes and even go to prison are almost without exception not the best. But, if we believe that completing a prison sentence is paying for that crime so that when they are released they are once again free and able to pursue life liberty and happiness, I think they should be able to try. I also don't believe anybody has to trust them or give them a chance. It's their choice.

Gambling is against the game.

In relation to people, the other crimes are exponentially worse than gambling.

But, in the narrow aspect of only the game, I think gambling is worse to only the game.

what I was reading was that many scouts were pegging him as 3rd round selection in the 2027 draft, IF he played well this season. That uncertainty, coupled with his selfish behavior over the last month or so could make him drop.
