New Titans coach Robert Saleh's camp and the team are working through a five-year deal now. Tonight was Saleh's first interview with the team, it lasted a little over five hours, and the 46-year-old came away from it with the job.

This feels like Tenn trying to make up for firing Vrabel and I don't think it's a bad idea for them. Word has been McDaniel could follow him there as OC.

I think people complain about a GMs ego way too often but in this case it's true. McDermott is a good HC who got stabbed by his GM because he dared to say - internally, not to the public! - that maybe the talent was a little oversold and they needed more. I'm very pleased that Policy never even dipped a toe in these stupid waters.

What's crazy was the GM was given even more control with his promotion. Makes you wonder among the players what the thoughts were firing the coach and giving the GM more control. Beane is kind of like Gute he does not draft very well and team is lacking quality players in spots and the QB play has to make up for it.

Difference is it seems MLF was ok still working with Gute and letting him control the roster. In Buffalo it seemed McDermott pretty much said it's me or the GM and the owner said your fired and GM here you go more power just to spite McDermott as he's walking out the door.
