2025 NFL Season Thread

The #49ers are expected to explore trading star WR Deebo Samuel, sources say.

In what could be a wild offseason, a parting for Samuel and SF is not guaranteed, but it may make sense for all parties.

Wonder if GB might look into him if they fail to get a good vet FA WR.

I wouldn't touch him.... has stayed on the IR or injury report. GB already has that issue.

Deebo makes no sense for this offense as currently constructed. They have Reed and ML can design 90% of those plays for Reed, Deebo is bigger and you can run him up the middle but GB has Jacobs and Loyd to handles carries.

Also Deebo’s drops last year legit may have cost SF a playoff spot. If you think GB WRs have hands issues already you don’t want to add this guy. Wrong type of veteran WR, not a good use of cap space IMO

The 49ers have granted Deebo Samuel and his agent Tory Dandy permission to find a trade partner for the wide receiver, Samuel told ESPN. This comes after Samuel asked San Francisco to trade him during the players’ exit meetings after the season.
“It was a hard conversation to have with Kyle (Shanahan) because of the relationship that we have,” Samuel said today. “But I have to do what’s best. I’m more than thankful for the Niners giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, but now I think it’s best that we find another team.”

Out and listening to the SiriusXM NFL station said Rodgers had went to NY to meet with the Jets this week were they told him about moving on. The hosts were talking about if Rodgers took the time to fly to NY to meet it shows he wants to play and now will he look for another team.

Well if true means no Packers reunion.

Davante Adams left his 2025 contract unchanged and his $38.3M cap number is untenable. He’d have to agree to a new deal to stay. And with Aaron Rodgers moving on, Adams likely will, as well. Adams would like to be on the West Coast, I’m told.
