i agree, but i wonder if they plan to keep him on the roster for another year as the backup because if they cut him this season, the dead cap is almost $138 million, if they release him next season, the dead cap is over $99 million, and if they wait until 2027, the dead cap is "only" 31.8 million. any way you look at it, they are in a rough spot.I think it's bigger than that, they are saying that their starting QBs tenure is over too.
