2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay

The whole WI players thing enrages me as much as the Badger fans' WI HS FB stuff, it's pure homer fiction. You don't build good programs that way..pro or college.
Also the whole coulda, woulda, shoulda thing doesn't feed the bulldog; hindsight is 20/20 and a poor way to evaluate future talent.
i'm not saying that we should draft wisconsin players just because they are wisconsin players. all i'm saying is that we shouldn't overlook wisconsin players just because they are wisconsin players. and the same goes for the badgers ignoring in-state prospects. i don't agree with the narrative that there are no wisconsin high school kids worthy of playing for the badgers.

@AdamSchefter

Now that the NFL draft is four days away, this is the closest to the start of it that there have been no trades for first-round picks in the Common Draft Era, per ESPN’s
@EpKap. The Joe Montana trade in 1993 came five days before the draft; this year now has surpassed that.

That last part tells me you're out of touch with high school athletics big time. This isn't 1990. WI HS FB is way, way behind thanks to the WIAA and WFCA. Due to the new roster rules, you can no longer use the walk-on method, so guys like JJ Watt, Jim Leonhard, and Jared Abbrederis are no longer a possibility at UW and all started as HS walk ons.

Worse it won't ever go back. WI HS OL are not what they once were thanks to these ancient no contact rules and the lack of full time HS FB staffs.
To be honest we haven't put out a lot of pro caliber guys at UW the past couple of years, I see some mocks taking Jack Nelson in GB and I really hope thats false. His pass pro is going to get a QB hurt in the NFL.

Also with NIL starting in HS you are going to see kids who have talent not stay in WI they will go to these academy schools play there for a few years before signing with a college team.

GB wants to get into top 15 it likely means they are giving up there 2nd round pick to do so. I am not sure it's worth that for any player in this draft.
i agree. unless the trade happens to include a player. then possibly we only give up a day 3 pick.
