2025 Free Agent Thread

The Jets are open to keeping Lazard, sources told Schefter, but that likely would require a huge pay cut.
lazard was actually their third-best receiver with 530 yards on 37 catches (14.2 yards per catch). with adams gone, he would be their second best receiver, so it would be good for them to hold onto him at a reasonable price. garret wilson can't do it all alone.

The Jets want to get rid of everything Aaron Rodgers connected.

So WR's would you want any of these

FA: Davante Adams, Chris Godwin, Darius Slayton, Hollywood Brown

Trade: DK Metcalf

i know mark doesn't like adams, but he was on two terrible teams in 2024, lost three weeks production due to raiders holding him out of games while they found a trading partner, and still had more yards than christian watson and dontayvion wicks combined. i think he would increase the packers' offensive production quite a bit, and because his 2024 production dropped, packers might be able negotiate a good deal. he's not going to hurt the development of the receivers we have because (imho) they're already everything they're going to be (mediocre).

What about Jack Sanborn? Former Badger, walked on at Bears, became a starter. Probably not that expensive

So report Seattle will go after Sam Darnold. I am guessing MN will go with McCarthy and Daniel Jones. Leaves 3 teams with the QB spot in question for 2025. Tenn, both NY, and Pitt. All of them likely take a QB in the draft at some point but all could likely be looking for a vet at QB to be a bridge QB. Tenn has Levis and Jets have Taylor. Both teams might stick with them or look for another vet to start. Giants and Pitt have really nothing at QB.

Vet QBs out there are not much: Rodgers, Wilson, Fields. Possible Cousins could join them if ATL decides to take cap hit and move on. If I had to make a wild guess right now I think Rodgers ends up with the Giants and Wilson ends up with the Jets. Pitt would sign Cousins if he did get cut otherwise they bring back Fields for a year. Tenn ends up sticking with Levis for one more year.

So with Seattle trading Geno for a 3rd round pick and reports he is seeking a new contract north of $40 million a year and that the Raiders plan to give him a new deal does this set the price for Metcalf also at a 3rd round pick with Metcalf being in the same boat wanting a new large contract?

Still a handful of FA's that could maybe help GB. Would there be any guys here you think might help? Guys I might consider on 1 year deals

Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs, Josh Myers, Dante Fowler, Rasul Douglas, Azeez Ojulari, Keenen Allen, Mike Hilton
