2024 NFL Season Thread

Didn't know the NFL put today's games only on Netflix. Bah Humbug
That is the 1st time I think that they have done that. Seems like they are really trying to get the nfl off off the networks. If it goes to all streaming they are probably going to lose this viewer.

Team records of teams not to have scored 30 points or more this year.

Giants 2-13
Raiders 3-12
Patriots 3-12
Chiefs 15-1

well, the chiefs did score 30 against both the bucs and the panthers, so maybe the correct way to say that is "team records of teams not to have scored more than 30 points this year". but i would have to check if there are other teams that have not scored more than 30 points.

also the chiefs did score 29 points today vs the steelers, and 28 vs the 49ers. but it isn't the chiefs offense that is winning games this year. it is the defense and the refs. their defense has only given up more than 21 points four times this year. and they have held opponents to 14 points or less five times.

btw, the packers defense has held opponents to 14 points or less six times this season. and they have held opponents to 21 points or less nine out off the 11 games that the packers have won. so i guess you could say that it is the packers defense that is winning the games also. and that bodes well for us in the playoffs.

If the Bears are smart they hire Mike Kafka as HC and ensure he hires a solid DC/ASST HC. They won't because it's the Bears but it's the same formula GB used with ML.....

Yep, shows how bad ownership is that they are giving the GM another chance to hire another HC. The McCaskey family has zero idea what they are doing.

OC for a putrid team isn’t going to get many looks as a HC. Was reading that he had play calling taken away this year. Maybe that works in his favor, maybe not, but even if he’s a good coach there are very few ownership groups who will look past the record.

Yeah yeah...heard the same BS about ML at TN. Look, it's straightforward. First, throw *NY out the window, they are bozos both organizations and no one is going to be successful until both franchises get new owners.*( They had no one sat QB after dumping their guy)

As for Kafka, he worked with Mahomes and under Andy Reid. His resume is solid, less NY. He was a college quarterback AND played at Northwestern and has numerous Chicagoland connections. You're trying to build your franchise behind a quarterback. This guy can do that.

What if you pair him with Saleh? Hmm. Remember that Kafka would be the HC, not necessarily the OC/play-caller. You're looking for pedigree and culture fit.

I was the crazy that came up with ML weeks before they interviewed him.... not so crazy was I

Hey I’m with you. But you know well how these owners work, they need to sell hope to fans who hate them. It takes a strong ownership structure to look past a record and stand on convictions, and if they had that strength already they wouldn’t be looking for new coaches.
