Rodgers Wants Out

He says it's an "out" at :06, :09 and 12. I can listen further in if you want.

Get something for him this year or let him walk for free next year. Sounds to me like he's getting traded.
Brandt is VERY speculative here and frankly, he knows no more than the rest of us.

No he it’s not an “out” in his contract it’s a voidable year which is irrelevant compared to his 2022 cap hit. In that regard they did play it perfectly, the error was the restructure in August that paved the way for 2022 cap hell
The restructure was necessary to get Rodgers back in 2021, it gave him the leverage to leave he didn’t have last year.

Damn good point. And with Brady gone he can slip right into that "Elder Statesman" role, he loves that crap.
The whole thing has a bad vibe to it as if last off-season wasn't bad enough. If those dopes in the front office sell us down the river it will be a brutal pill to swallow.

He's in for a shock because after the crap he pulled last summer and this whole whoa is me I don't wanna be a part of a rebuild his reputation is shot outside of GB faithful ggg(

Arod is selfish and out for Arod. With guys like Mahomes, Burrow, Allen etc.. out there playing and putting team first Arod is less elder statesman and more the grumpy uncle you don't want to invite to Christmas dinner but you have to because he at least brings the good bourbon....

Even if he does come back GB is much better off without him.

I don't think they will keep Rodgers, I truly believe they know what the deal is with him as a player and the financials of it all, and beyond that I think Rodgers will value change for the sake of change (and he wouldn't be wrong) and he has the leverage now to blast his way out if he wants to. However, I also laughed at them signing Randall Cobb just to appease him so what in the hell do I know after all.

I honestly think the front office brings him back and we will be screwed in the future. They are stupid enough to do it.

I do think it will be before FA starts. I want to say 95% he's traded with 5% Packers drop pants bend over grab ankles and let Rodgers screw the team over for 4-5 years with a new contract.
