Both leagues would play their regular seasons — there could be “interleague” games, similar to MLB
— Once XFL and CFL champions are crowned champions they’d face off in an interleague championship game.
—There could also be an “All-Star Game” pitting players from both leagues.

The long-term objective: the merger of the two pro football leagues.

CFL has been bleeding $$ for years...the XFL has failed how many times? This will be the final nail in both leagues. See ya.
The one positive on this is that it would increase media rights and actually give some liquidity to both leagues. How much who know but the XFL alone cannot get a rights deal that makes financial sense

I love the CFL. A Saskatchewan Rough Riders fan. Have been since the 60s, when I was stationed in Montana, and we went up to see them play 5 times over two years. Ron Lancaster was their QB. One helluva arm.

We'd bring a couple of cartons of cigarettes with us ($1.80 carton), and trade the eight cartons for all day and night drinking at this one bar that everyone hung out at, close to the stadium.

Then we'd be up and out on the road so we got back to base by 10:00 AM to watch the Packer games, which were broadcast out there, as part of the old Packer TV network.

Fun days!

Bruce Clark liked the CFL so much he decided to go play there instead of GB after they spent the 4th overall pick on him. How bad of a team are you when a guy says I rather play in Canada.

yeah yeah I've heard all that crap before.... it's a death march. CFL has had it's best years when it sticks to doing things their way. The whole merge and expand thing almost killed it twice. If they try with the XFL...it's over for good.
