Listen to ml yesterday from the pressers from the loss it sounds like we got lack of leadership on the defense and we got other players there just playing for their paychecks he said about lack of urgency and energy from players on the team and a lack of leadership from the player aspect

Back when Favre won the super bowl we had a bunch of leaders on defense we had LeRoy Butler we had Wayne Simmons who set the tone and we had Reggie White of course.

So why everybody wants to grab a wide receiver at this point I can't see anybody that would fit under the cap who would really help.

The only Deal that makes sense to me would be a trade for JJ Watt. While he's had some injuries in the past and it's getting a bit older, his positive attributes outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

His salary for next year isn't guaranteed either at 17 million so there's a good possibility you could rework a deal out for him.

As we all know a possibility that we get a quality player that would really help this team right now is doubtful.

It seems more like this team is building for the future rather than to win now

He’s not even available. It’s not happening

He's "most likely" not available Pack. He means a lot to that city, so it would be hard for them to part with him . . .
Well there have been “reports” that he’s off limits and I tend to believe that. Face of the franchise and face of Houston sports.

JJ Watt will be going into last year of contract next year. So only way I see he's traded in the off-season is if he wants a new contract and Houston won't give him one. Then will be best to work out a trade to a team that will give him a new deal.

The only way JJ leaves Houston is as an unrestricted free agent. Down here in Texas, he's listed side by side with Andre Johnson as the greatest players to ever play for the Texans, and if possible, even a little more popular than what Johnson was.

Nope JJ has said he does not want to be around for a rebuild in Houston so it's likely he will be traded in off-season with team trading for him giving him a short term contract ext. He knows he only has 2-3 years left and wants to get a ring before he retires.

why doesnt Quinnen Williams make sense?
He does make sense.
But the flip side is what kind of draft capital would it take to pry him away from the NYJ’s?
They made it clear he wasn’t available for trade, so I’m guessing that means It would take multiple picks to get them to move off their dime. And if that’s the case it would be crazy to do that.
