PFF Believes Packers Lack Top-10 Roster

The truth is somewhere in the middle, first PFF isn't what it used to be so their metrics are just okay. On the flip side, we stayed incredibly healthy last season and got some breaks. Our depth due to a not so stellar offseason is meh at best.

If they have that same string of luck we can do a lot this season but if we get into one of those injury fest seasons then we might be lucky to make a wildcard.... too early to really make a conclusion. sh))

I get it. I'm always an optimist on game day too. Otherwise what's the point?

This describes me to a T. On game day, even when I know we should get blown out, I hold onto hope, and believe we have a chance of getting the W. Until we fall far enough behind, even if we're getting kicked around the field, I hang onto that hope. When it's gone? Tequila! Then the numbness sets in, and I can accept the loss. ;)

They only installed about half the offense last year. Didn't even really have no-huddle. Aaron will have a year of exoerience in it.

People are gonna be surprised. 11 wins, go up from there.

People look at all the close games and say we're "gonna come down to Earth" this year.

You know what I saw in those close games? A coach who doesn't panic. A guy who doesn't get that "HERE WE GO AGAIN" mentality. Who doesn't freeze up inside and cause the team to tighten up. Like in the 2014 NFCCG.

Matt got more than the sum of the parts, even in crunch time, not to jinx.

Probably basing it on last year's results and the perceived value of each teams draft. What they can't and won't try to measure is what goes on in a given players head, the preparation they get, and the effort they put in (both practice and the game). There are reasons GB won some close games last year and not all of them are visible and measurable.

I do believe it's way too early to predict anything and Mark's point of team health is valid. If we get banged up early like 2 seasons ago then all bets are off.

Bull$&^^... says who ? ML stated the full base was installed and no he doesn't run no-huddle spread BS..this isn't MM at all. ML is running HIS base... not Aarons and not MM.

Actually ML said it. He stated that it would take two years to get everything he wanted to do installed in the offense. It's understandable because a lot of what they wanted to do wasn't possible because they seemed to believe they had the wrong personnel.

He's said repeatedly that his offense was evolving. It's a matter of how fast people grasp aspects of it, and how you can move it forward. Here he talks about things he can install in year two, which he apparently didn't want to do based on the team's grasp of how far they'd already gone.

Sorry I don't read it that way.... I'll go with this part

Asked what his expectations are for the offense given the offseason circumstances, Rodgers replied, “That’s a good question. (Last year), some of the stuff we got into (was) blending some of the things Matt loves to do with a few of the things I’ve done well over the years. This has been a great opportunity to go back and really fine-tune everything, go through everything last year that was good, what didn’t work, what we want to add to it, what we want to take out.

Every NFL team fine-tunes like that but then let's add in ML Quote
“I think it’s going to continue to evolve. I think this offseason will give us a good chance to reflect and see what we did well and see where we want to go with it. I know there will be some changes that we’ll make and we’ll try to implement some different things to try to be more efficient and more effective.

No where in there sir does it say they ONLY installed half the offense... which was what Nerd was saying.
