Prediction of Roster Cut Down

Harris over Neal .. Neal had ability in passing game. This will haunt them though. I don't think Starks will be worth a roster spot this year. Definitely not with keeping 2 FB. Basically keeping two old and over the hill guys (Kuhn and starks) who really offer the same thing (pass blocking) .... Not very TT like to stay old like that. But well see.
 
I liked Neal a little more than Harris. But since I think both rip and kuhn will be active on game I doubt that 3rd rb will be active so it really won't matter. Maybe the pack thought Harris had a better chance of being claimed on waivers. Or its thinking Harris has a better chance of being the starks replacement next year.
 
The thing for me is the bottom of the roster , when Jones comes back. I think Goodson is gone. When Guion comes back I'm not sure.
The other thing whom ever we cut has to go on a teams 53. So we shall see what the Practice squad looks like in the coming days.
The Third thing is if TT MM and AR want James Jones. He has lost some speed and would take reps from the young guys mainly White. I don't know if Jones can still run all the routes with lose of speed or getting open in coverage. I think defenses have to account for Janis with his speed
Well I don't have any of these answers, bottom line is the bottom end of the roster
 
I trust TT, but the Neal cut puzzles me. The depth at OL scares the hell out of me because vs an NFL starting defense they get mauled. Here's hoping to an injury free regular season.
 
I'm a little surprised Neal didn't make it based on his early reps in games and versatility as a return man and receiver. Harris and Crockett are a pick 'em for me. Harris is the bigger stronger back and I loved seeing him out there hammering away with a club on his hand last game. Crockett offers more as a pass catcher. Harris had a higher YPA overall in pre-season. They went with the big back, so read into that what you will. Either way, not sure any of the three would be wearing a jersey on game days. I agree with CD above, I would be happy to see them move on from Starks but they like him (pre-season isn't everything, but he finished with a paltry 1.2 YPA this year).

So who is likely to be cut when Datone and Letroy come back? Goodson and Walker? They went heavier on the OL and DBs than they usually do.
 
The only real surprise for me was cutting Neal. To me, he out played Crockett and Harris easy. They must of saw something they liked. Im not to concerned on the OL depth. LT is a little of a question mark for the backup. The reserve OL guys did look bad at times but seem to have improved alot in the last games playing against other backups. Remember you will never see them all on the field at the same time in the regular season and putting a backup in here and there with starters will make a huge difference. When Jones & Guion comes back, I would look at Banjo, 1 of Kuhn/Ripkowski, or maybe Palmer to let go.
 
In the end no major cuts really which would have been a surprise had they made one.
 
So out of cuts Packers had players get claimed. Mitchell Henry to Denver, Adrian Hubbard to Miami, and Khryi Thornton to New England.

They also had 1 as of right now cut sign to practice squad that that was Harold Spears who signed with Pittsburgh.
 
I wonder if the 2 PS spots will be saved for players cut when the 2 suspended players come back ?
