The Bucks need to focus on getting to 60 wins. They need it to gain home court advantage during the playoffs. With a league that has so many teams that could be spoilers, you need that edge if you want to set up well for the win. This year, even the best are susceptible on the road, and it only takes one bad home game, or one with key injuries, and you end up history.

The Bucks, without Giannis, might be able to get through as much as two rounds of the playoffs but beyond that, I doubt it. He's so important to this team. I'm looking at them cutting back his minutes when they've got games in hand, to protect him, and save his energy.

I wish I could get to games this year in the playoffs but I can't. I was there, back in the beginning, when the Bucks took it all. It was so exciting sitting 4 rows back behind the Bucks bench with guys like Johnny Mac, Bobby D, The Big O, and of course Big Lew.

Damn! The excitement's back for me! 1971 seems like just yesterday.

I think they need more than 60. To hit 60 thats playing .680 ball compared to what TOR,MKE and GS are currently playing which is .750 for MKE, .729 for Toronto and 719 for GS. 62 or 63 should get them there. I agree with your premise

well, they've won 45 with 23 left. if they keep up their current pace they will win 17 or 18 more. the raptors are right on their heels though.

I believe they could get to 64 wins. That's about the limit I'd guess. That's 19-4 the rest of the way. Too many glitches that can happen before you reach 82 games. Bud's done a good job resting his players though. I'm anxious to see Milotic actually contribute to see what he has.

I just hope his being added to the team doesn't make Lopez or anyone else less effective. I don't think it will happen, but you never know.

With a few games left, the Bucks have cinched the #1 seed for the playoffs. As I said a month ago, winning 60 would do the trick. Nobody has less than 23 losses now so that 60 win plateau is gold.

Now Bud can rest his stars, and let his injured players heal, to prepare them for the grind through the playoffs. They've got a realistic shot at winning it all, as long as Giannis stays healthy, and his supporting cast isn't dramatically weakened. At least for the first round, it will be a little easier than what comes after that. I'm looking forward to the 2nd championship years for this team. I was lucky enough to have attended a couple of games in MIlwaukee when they won that first one, and it's been a long drought.

Actually Bucks have not clinced the 1 seed they are up 4 games with 8 to play. Bucks have 6 games out of 8 against teams that are in playoffs right now. Raptors play only 1 game against a current playoff team in last 8. So Raptors could easily win out so Bucks need to go at worst 4-4 in last 8 to get 1 seed. Need to go 5-3 in last 8 to get to 60 wins on the season.

They also have the tie breaker vs Toronto

Yes that's why 4-4 is worst they can go if they went 4-4 and Toronot went 8-0 both would finish tied and Bucks would win with tiebreaker.

The NBA season is 82 games long. If you win 60 games, you'd only lose 22. If everyone else has 23 losses already that means 60 wins it. I was referring to they'd win with 60 wins, no matter what anyone else does between now and the end of the season.
