Davante Adams

This is great to hear.

Adams will be huge in making this offense complete this year.

It all comes down to defense and ST's if we make and win the Super Bowl, IMHO.

Saw an interview with him in the locker room, he looks physically bigger and more cut than last year. I look forward to seeing how the ball gets distributed this year. Rodgers targeted him a number of times last week and that's really what it comes down to - who does AR throw to when multiple guys are open.

Adams certainly is a big target, RP. It will be interesting. The great thing about AR is that he does not play favorites. If he trusts you and you are open, he will throw you the ball.

That's the way it should be. Buckle Up!! greedy)

Excited about these guys. Still having red zone problems. But hopefully that's just working the kinks out in pre-season. WAY too many weapons to not be scoring constantly. I'm expecting big things from Adams this year. thumbsup

Rewatched those red-zone plays and Rodgers missed a couple TD throws, or was trying something out looking to throw the ball elsewhere. He had Jordy on one play, then on the last drive, when Adams couldn't make a tough sliding grab in the back of the endzone, Cobb had broken free from bracket coverage and was running with some separation in front of the LB about 2 yards deep in the endzone. 9 times in 10 that's a money in the bank TD, but he forced it to Adams. That's what the pre-season is for though, find out about this stuff early and try to fix it before it counts.

I also saw that, RP. I also thought Cobb was held on his route so he would big time open. I think in the regular season they call that holding call on the CB covering Cobb.

The refs didn't call anything on the secondary relative to the contact that was occurring. On that play that you guys are discussing, Nelson and Cobb were both held in the endzone. The line of scrimmage was the 7 yard line so at a minimum it should have been illegal contact. Gunter also got away with contact on his INT. I agree in the regular season those get called.

saw an interesting detailed statistical breakdown of the packers redzone performance in 2014 in an article on a site that we are not allowed to link to. the packers actually have phenomenal redzone scoring stats (78% touchdown success) in the first seven weeks when their play selection was 67% passing plays. in the last half of the season, they changed their play selection to 57% passing plays, and their td success rate dropped to 54%.

I didn't think that game was one of the best officiated games I've ever seen. thumbsdown))
