An early look at the unofficial depth chart

The thing that sticks out for me is the lack of quality depth on OL. #12 gets beat up and knocked out again and all this defensive talk won't matter.

That's my thing too. After last season they still think this OL can stay healthy for a whole season. Seems risky.
They gamble like that every year. The line won't be a focus until AR is gone and they realize the blemishes he hides

But to be honest, I'm not up on every teams roster. This may be the case across the NFL so take what I say with a grain of salt.

5-technique – Dean Lowry, Muhammad Wilkerson, Conor Sheehy.

3-technique – Mike Daniels, Montravius Adams, James Looney, Filipo Mokofisi.

NT – Kenny Clark, Tyler Lancaster.

Interesting they will only go with 2 deep at NT. Guessing they slid Wilkerson and or Adams inside in a pinch. Not sure I would characterize Conor Sheehy as a 5-tech either.

Does it give you any insight into what Pettine might be running?

yeah, sheehy doesn't seem like a 5-tech to me either.

interestingly, this is the way espn has our dl categorized:

94 Dean Lowry DE 23 6-6 296 3 Northwestern
96 Muhammad Wilkerson DE 28 6-4 315 8 Temple

90 Montravius Adams DT 22 6-3 304 2 Auburn
97 Kenny Clark DT 22 6-3 314 3 UCLA
76 Mike Daniels DT 29 6-0 310 7 Iowa
1 Tyler Lancaster DT -- 6-4 315 R Northwestern
9 James Looney DT 22 6-3 280 R California
45 Filipo Mokofisi DT 23 6-3 278 R Utah
94 Conor Sheehy DT -- 6-4 295 R Wisconsin

Not anymore then what we already knew. He plays a mix bag of 34 and 43. Runs an odd front that some call a 52 but in reality is a 4-2-5 look.I also saw some articles on him using a wide 9 front in Buffalo and Cleveland. That almost makes sense given the personal above, I tend to think we will see more of those looks then anything he did with the Jets..that was Ryan's defense not Pettines Oh and I have no idea where folks are getting his time in Baltimore as examples he was a postion coach..didn't call or devise a thing there.

Exactly right! He was Ryan's OLB's coach in BALT.
