Yep plus unlike Harbaugh who I think will want a say in roster output ML as long as he trust his GM to give him what he wants would be fine with the GM running the show. Harbaugh you think he would come to GB if he would have to let Gute make roster choices he would laugh and tell GB go jump in the lake. Then who do you go sign? No good HC worth anything is going to look at GB say yeah lets come to GB ML got fired because he was not given good talent so what should I be expected to do that he could not.
 
Not sure I trust Policy or Gute to doing much right. MLF is in a better position than people think. A bunch of teams would hire him, and his BFF may get a HC job, so he could be an OC/AHC for him as well.

GB has a lot to lose if they screw this up.Get some dumbass in here, and we are 5-6 wins each year at the bottom of the north quickly. It's a big decision.
 
This will be unpopular.

LaFleur has a good football mind. He's probably excellent at Xs and Os. He probably would be an engaging lecturer on football strategy.

But,

He has not created a Championship culture. The Packers consistently are the weaker mentally and physically and least focused team on the field - especially in critical moments.

No excuses about being young. Our guys do not produce. Whatever LaFleur and Company teach them during the week, does not show up at critical moments on the field. It's been this way for a lot longer than this season.

Every team has young players. Every team has depth problems. Some other coaches - not all - are getting more out of their players. The Packers underperform to their supposed skill level. Other teams - like the one that just beat us again - are overperforming.

This is a tough call. People are saying some would like a 9-11 win season. Personally, I'd like another Lombardi. I don't think LaFleur will ever bring one to Green Bay. Champions make hard calls. I believe it's time to part ways with this coaching staff. If there's no coaching change the Pack will have the same or worse result next year.

I don't think this will be unpopular. The Pack should part ways with Gute.

Now who do you bring in?

I think you seriously take a look at Harbaugh. The Pack needs an attitude adjustment.

If not Harbaugh, somebody who will light a fire under the players, somebody that will hold them accountable, somebody that will get them to perform their job.

The only problem with that is that we saw the exact same issues under MM. I get what you are saying. But when the same problems persist across multiple HCs it makes you wonder.

There is a legit argument to be made about moving on to a new HC. I agree about the lack of killer instinct etc..

Not unpopular. The thing I keep coming back to is, where is this teams mental and physical toughness? It's not a question of youth or skill, they're just soft. The roster has been turned over three times since 2019 and they're always the same.

If you have an argument as to why this isn't ML's fault and he should stay, fine. I like him too. But something major, major, major needs to change around him. They simply cannot run it back again with the same staff and crew. I honestly thing he would benefit from having a good, strong OC. He needs to be challenged internally, new blood, new attitude. Someone to keep the pedal down. I just don't know if that's enough either.

It's like, has the culture gotten stale and needs to be shaken up? Yes. If a handful of good players just do their damn jobs and not spit the bit, are we talking about wins instead of losses? Also yes. Where to go from here? Whether you fire ML or keep him, I think the unifying factor is that something needs to be shaken up, and frankly he may need some help on his side of the ball.

Okay, point number 2, which you brought to light, is that it's a very young FB team; it is very much like a group of college seniors. That's a way different mojo than you find in most NFL Locker rooms. Again, this is a front-office philosophical issue you can't fully put on the MLF plate. ( he does need to rethink his approach)
@Budman and @oakleaf touched on this already, but this has been ongoing across other coaching staff before MLF as well, so it's a systemic issue rooted in the building and continues to be an issue. How do we fix it ? Don't know, but "fire everybody," while sounding easy, adds even more challenges.

Hire a super coach, and even he may find his kryptonite on Lombardi Avenue. The point being it's more complex than just 1 coach or layer.
