Time to get this started to talk about the draft. Packers without there 1st round pick in the Parsons trade and projected to get 1 comp pick in the 7th round.

Lot's of holes on the team and no way to fix them all in this draft. GB needs CB, OL and DT help and IMO all the picks should be in those area's as they could use 2-3 CB and OL each in this draft.

Agree this draft is about OL and CB for the Pack, though I'd throw in a run stopping DL in those mid-rounds somewhere. My only difference is that I don't draft more than 2 of either CB or OL because otherwise you either have to cut one or you end up with more "fake" depth - a late round pick you don't want to cut who's not ready to contribute.

In general, I'd take OL and CB on Day2 (rds 2/3) with a double up on OL in Rd 4 or 5. Take a DL in Rd 4 or 5 and another CB late. More specifically I'd draft an OT and OC for the OL. The OT needs to be able to play LT because that's the looming hole with Walker likely gone and Morgan an unknown out there and nobody else capable or ready to play that spot. I also think they need to draft an OC because Rhyan just isn't that good, Jenkins is gone, and Monk will likely never be good enough.

If I only get one CB in the draft, so be it, because I'd personally like to see them sign a CB in FA rather than have to count on a late round CB to contribute right away.

For my ideal draft it'd be: Rd2-OT, Rd3-CB, Rd4-OC, Rd5-DT, Rd6/7-bpa

I'd also move on from Luke Butkus as OL coach. I know that coaching is likely not the problem, but there has been a distinct lack of development of the OL and I'd like to see if a different voice in the room can work.

Considering the sheer number of holes and lack of talent past the top 10 guys on this team to be honest I make this draft about fixing the trenches. It all starts there. GB is going to have to ignore some positions this year and hope they can find cheap street FA to fill some spots.

If for some reason this draft is weak at OL or DL then look to CB, LB, WR, etc…

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. It's a multiple year fix but the key is actually evaluating the talent correctly which I have no confidence any more in this front office.

Hold by what I said yesterday, it's a 2-year fix if you had resources, but they don't. That's a big piece of everything going forward...they gambled and lost.
They sure can't evaluate DB or OL talent.

By time GB has resources to start rebuilding roster could be 4-5 years and by then could have GM and HC fired if it takes that long.

From Walters FB:
Green Bay Packers 2026 NFL Team Needs:
Expectations were sky high for the Packers once they traded for Micah Parsons in August. It looked like they’d have a great chance to make a Super Bowl run, but Parsons and other players suffered injuries late in the year.

Two Defensive Tackles: The Packers have one of the weakest defensive interiors in the NFL. Two new defensive tackles are needed.

Two Cornerbacks: The Packers had weak play at cornerback outside of Keisean Nixon. They’ll need two new cornerbacks.

Two Guards: Green Bay’s guard play was poor last year. Perhaps Jordan Morgan will get another chance because he’s a former first-round pick, but at least one guard should be acquired.

Left Tackle: Rasheed Walker is a former seventh-round rookie who emerged as a great pass-blocking left tackle. He’s an impending free agent who must be re-signed.

Center: The Packers have had issues at center for a while, and that persisted last year.

Linebacker: Quay Walker is an impending free agent who needs to be re-signed or replaced.

Backup Quarterback: Malik Willis is as good as gone, so the Packers will need a new backup quarterback.

Kicker: Brandon McManus was a disaster in the playoff loss to the Bea

I would think one DT if you plan to resign Wyatt because guys like Brooks and Wooden are ok backups not starters but if you don't plan to resign Wyatt yes would need two.

Also GB is not going to sign Walker, ML came close today to naming him and throwing him under the bus.
