2025 Badger Football Thread

Three-star OL Maddox Cochrane de-commits from the #Badgers, who are now down to 14 pledges in 2026.
do you get the impression that some of these players made the commitment before they knew how little nil money was available in madison and/or used the commitment to wisconsin as a stepladder to better offers?

Not really, I think watching the school you committed to getting waxed every Saturday is tough on a 16/17 year old kid. I am surprised more haven't left already. The key is how many jump to the portal after the season.

I am thinking that 4 star RB they have is going to flip. Lot of big name schools are trying to flip him.

Unfortunately, I agree.

But, I also think that some will be thinking, look at those clowns, I could take their spot and play immediately.

At least I hope they do. We need a team of over achievers to turn this around.

Regarding the transfer portal, I know we need players, but seriously who do we really need? Any of our current Offensive Lineman? Cornerbacks? Wide Receivers? Tight Ends? Every game everyone bitches about how our guys are barely D2 talent. And unfortunately their football smarts are worse than their talent.

Somehow, and I know it's going to take a miraculous effort and luck, Bucky needs to flip its roster to one of hard nosed super effort over achievers that want a shot - and who step up to the opportunity. Obviously, Bucky will have to sell the future not the present.

Go Bucky! Find a way

So Big Ten proposed equity deal gives most money to the blue blood programs and screws the other ones.

UM, PSU, OSU would get $190 million
Oregon and USC get $155 million
All other schools get $110 million

If the other schools accept this that's BS should be equal amounts for all or reject the deal totally

how is that fair? because they're on TV more? That's not revenue sharing.

It failed to get approved.

UW has changed recruiting tactics back to 1995 to pacify the idiots at WFCA and the alumni..... it won't work. They are going to make things worse.
well, whatever they have been doing up to now certainly isn't working either. something had to change.
