Post Game GB Defeats The Bungles 27-18

At the game. Nice to see a crowd 95% Packers fans

GB D most over rated D in the NFL. Cincy has OL issues and Flacco is 500 years old and GB could only get home and sack him once and not even force a TO.

Nixon instead of calling himself CB1 more like CB3/4

Love solid today but stupid INT and no idea if he thought Musgrave was 30 feet tall or something.

OL probably there best game of the year. But Tom is nowhere close to 100% and should not be playing.

Sidenote wow oh wow on the Cincy kicker had ML not called that TO hits a 68 yard FG. Some leg on him.

GB 3-1-1 and on to AZ
I wonder why the defense is struggling so much this season. They certainly didn't pick up where they left off. Did losing Clark and gaining Parsons throw them for a loop?

Some interesting things here. Valentine is hardly out there it seems. Does GB not trust him?

Wicks also does not seem to be getting much playing time. Once Watson comes back that will probably even cut more into his playing time. I wonder if GB could move him to a team that could have depth at another spot GB can use.
Wicks injured his ankle and dropped out of the game, which explains that.

The corners are basically a roster construction/management issue that lands at the feet of the FO. Nixon is their No. 1 outside corner (commentary aside, it's just a fact). They paid Nate Hobbes. Hobbes should be a slot defender but they also have Javon Bullard, who they seem to love in the slot. If they want to get Bullard on the field, they either need to bench Evan Williams for no good reason and start Bullard at S, or put Bullard in the slot, and play Hobbes outside which isn't his best position. They need to play Hobbes somewhere because they paid him. Bullard went down with a concussion so that's why you see Valentine's snaps tick up, because it sent Hobbes back inside.

It's a bit of a mess. It's basically all depth pieces - Nixon is a nice CB3 and go down from there, they're missing two starting caliber corners, the CB group is basically where the S group was in 2023 before they signed X and drafted 3 guys. Complete rebuild needed there.

So with how much farther it seems balls are flying are we going to see more teams now trying to find young strong legged kickers so they can not start trying FG's from 60+ all the time. Seems a matter of time were now the red line we see on TV will be the 50 yard line to attempt a game tying or game winning kick.
combine that with the new kickoff rules starting the majority of drives between the 30 and 35, offenses only have to move the ball 15-20 yards to be in field goal range. i'm pretty sure the nfl execs saw this as a way to increase scoring.

Soon we will be telling people back in our day a 40 something yard kick was a long kick you were unsure if they would make and will be told ok grandpa time to get you back to the home. LOL

Yup, and the weird thing is that the back-up RT, Kinnard was playing decent in previous games. You didn't need Tom against this meh Bengals defense.
also weird is that he played 5 special teams snaps. you would think that kinnard could have played those at least. although i seem to recall that for some kicks they played all of the ol players that have started games this year. at least we didn't have a blocked extra point.

That's precisely why they did it. No blocked kicks.

This year he hasn't been top 10, he's been top 3. If you want to say that QB play overall hasn't been great, fine. He can only play in the time he plays but he's been excellent this year.

I think there are two things going on here: One, some fans will never forgive Love for being drafted instead of a WR for Rodgers, and it'll stay that way until he wins a SB.

And two, just saying this 100% straight - I'm probably the most right leaning person on this forum but even I know that a percentage of Packer fans will always dislike Love because he's black, and the fact that he's good makes them resent him even more and it's why they're the loudest of the bunch.

Keep those two things in mind when you listen to the call in shows, it'll make a lot more sense because no one calling in is actually complaining about his play.
thought you might enjoy this article that i ran across this morning:

Just my opinion, but if they were true packer fans one would think that would override any prejudice they might have. I think that's a very low percentage, but maybe they are the loudest on social media ?
