I don't like a lot of Gute's moves.

I think this one is smart. It lets Watson recover fully and lets us kick the tires on him after recovery.

definitely peanuts for a good receiver who plays 15-17 games a season. last year he started 15 games. at best he might play in 10-11 games this season. if he gets hurt again, he might not play at all next season. i mean it's not a bakhtiari-level risk, but it is a risk. it could pay off, or it might not.

So Reed out at least half the season. Hopefully Watson is close to ready. If he would be ready after week 4 you can take him off IR and give him Reed's spot on the roster and just use Hardman as a PS call up over the next 2 weeks. If Watson will need a longer time to get ready then just sign Hardman off the PS to take Reeds spot.
