2025 NFL Season Thread

Jaylen Higgins becomes the first 2nd round pick in NFL history to secure a fully guaranteed 4 year contract.

And you thought the Pope being from Chicago was a sign of the apocolypse
The surprising thing in that he's from Chicago is: from all accounts, he's going to be more conservative than the prior pope!
The big debate was whether he is a Cubs fan or a Sox fan - but his brother clarified that he was a Sox fan. However, if he is a Bears fan - then yes the apocalypse is upon us!

The Pope will do fine.

I simply am against guaranteed contracts - especially for all years at signing. I would be more agreeable to a guarantee that sets in on a condition for the next year

Glad GB did not have to worry about having choice to drafting this guy.

i don't know. i can't blame rookies who have not signed a contract yet being worried about a fluke injury during a mini-camp. i don't know what a "standard injury waiver" covers, but even if it is the same as a slotted rookie contract, that doesn't feel the same as negotiating an actual contract. i can understand their point of view. he's participating in everything except the on-the-field stuff.
