Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

Though it seems he has not played a ton of snaps so despite him being what 28-29 when rookie deal is over would a 3-4 year deal be still ok on him? Granted that could be the last contract for him as he's 31-33 when that would be up.
I don't know. Coming to learn about these Georgia D players, lot of these guys are part time players in college who turn into part time players in the pros. See it with Wyatt, kinda see it with Quay. Even guys like Nolan Smith over in Philly, had a great playoff run but total part time player. It might not be a bad strategy to draft a bunch of maxed out, part time players and use them as such in the pros, but that necessarily means you don't give them second contracts and you don't waste time trying to develop anything - you put them out there to do what they do best and let someone else worry about their financial future.

Though outside of QB and OL it seems that every spot now in the NFL is a rotation spot were none of them are playing all snaps. Seems that this is the way in college they want to keep guys fresh so they go anywere from 1/3rd to 2/3rds snaps a game.

They run a 3-deep platoon system at UGA... now that changed this year to more of a 2 deep but still, no one should think you are getting a 65 snap player in the front 7... backside is different

Ya know, I could live with this if I got 22-25 sensational effort and result plays and had to create rotations for effect. But, we aren't getting 22-25 sensation effort and result plays.

The problem is we don't have the depth... This will tick some folks off but Wyatt could go play elsewhere with better depth and be lights out. That would cause an even bigger outcry of " why did we not resign him " etc.
GB staff has a tendency to scout guys based on athletic attributes alone.... this worked okay 20 years ago but the game has changed.

This is LVN he looks like Tarzan but he plays like Jane.

Reminds me of Ted and CBs....

I remember everyone loved Josh Jackson, some thought he was a top 15 pick. Crazy.

Gute's history of 1st round picks is meh he should just trade out of the 1st round every year LOL.
