Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

It's only been 2 hrs but not looking good for this roster. Major needs at WR, CB, DL, DE and OL and not a signing to show for it. Only three picks in the top 100. Gute talked about urgency, but I don't see it.

To be fair, many guys stayed put and didn't leave, and some of these other signings were bad money..... it was a poor FA market.

I'm just looking at GB's roster and looking at the other teams in the division. We finished in third place, and could easily finish in 4th next year if Gute doesn't nail the draft at the top. I'm more forgiving of Gute's drafting overall than most but he tends to not draft day 1 impact guys in round 1. If you pencil in "athletic high upside project" in the first round, he has to come away with 3 starters/heavy contributors in the remaining 7 picks. It's a big ask. The FA crop wasn't good but at a certain point we need bodies, for depth alone. Lotta work to do here, just feels like we're pushing back the timeline.

As pointed out Gute could be deciding to use his FA on extending his own (Tom, Doubs, Walker, Wyatt) All could be guys Gute decides to use his cap space on.

Tom is a guy they have to keep but the rest? I don’t see it. Maybe Quay but not the other two.

$10m/y for adebo was cheap, and gute loves injured players. i can't believe gute couldn't make a better offer. and letting the lions get reed, i mean sometimes you need to pay a little more than you wanted to.

The $10m per number was wrong, it's 3yrs $54m
