2025 NFL Season Thread

Rodgers reportedly pleaded with the Jets to keep him, according to the New York Post. The report said that Rodgers aggressively urged New York to keep him for one or two more years. Once a decision was made, though, Rodgers reportedly accepted it and "slipped into the darkness for a few days."
Woody Johnson made this decision months ago and leaking this stuff reeks of his pettiness.

Will be interesting if only rebuild teams want him as a bridge QB for a season if Rodgers would do that or retire. I would hope he would retire then just to go play for a bad team that won't have a chance to win just so he can play and get some more stats.

don't believe everything you read.

Sounds like only 1 or 2 guys will get tagged before FA. Makes you wonder if this class of FA are a down year or if it's just there would be more guys tagged if teams did not have cap issues.

Would he want to play on a new crappy team that would likely win 3-6 games and go out playing on 3 straight teams that had a losing season? Yeah his ego might say he does not want to go out on a bad team but what good team is going to want him as there QB?

Was listening to a podcast and apparently the oddsmakers have the Pittsburgh Steelers as the best odds of signing him. Makes some sense as they are ready to win now, but other than that, I'm not so sure I see it.
