Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

Crazy so many people saying how Sterling Sharpe only played 7 years and how Reggie Wayne and Tory Holt's stats are better and they should have gotten voted in over him. I swear these people just look at stats and probably never saw him play. Sharpe as the 2nd most dominate WR in the late 80s and early 90s only behind Jerry Rice. Sharpe did not have Joe Montana throwing to him or those stacked 49ers teams to play on in GB either. Sharpe was the first WR in NFL history to have back to back 100 catch seasons. Had Sharpe not gotten the career ending injury he would have won a Super Bowl in the 1996 season and who knows does he make a difference in Super Bowl 32 or help GB win another Super Bowl in a different year? Sharpe playing in Favre's prime MVP seasons he likely has stats that most would consider him a top 5 WR all time. Saying Wayne or Holt should be in before him is foolish. Those two played in a pass happy era when Sharpe had a run first era of offense and both those two had HOF QB's throwing to them When Sharpe had one year of Majik playing crazy and Favre's first couple seasons when he was learning that INT's did not count as TD's. Only thing more loony I saw was one comment from a Steelers fan saying Hines Ward was better then Sharpe. But glad Sharpe got in as we have seen you can play under 10 years in the league but get in if you in that time were a top 3 player at their spot.

It’s the Sandy Koufax thing, even if you play a short while if you are dominate you should be in the Hall. Sharpe deserves this. Luke Kuechly was a massive snub, for the same reason. One of the most intelligent, instinctive, athletic ILBs i’ve ever seen, it was hard to function against those Carolina defenses because of him. He was all pro every season he played (!) except for his rookie year, when he won DROY.

We will know in less then 5 weeks what Adams future is. I don't know if any teams will trade for him because you have to then rework that contract he has. Also what does Rodgers do? If Rodgers chooses to play and go to another team Adams very well could want to follow Rodgers to that team. If Rodgers hangs up his cleats and the Jets have to cut him then yeah I could see it possible Adams returns to GB. But as I said in this post there is a lot of woulda coulda shoulda that needs to happen.

Saw question posted on X what Packer now deserves to get into the HOF. It won't ever happen because he's not a big enough name and it's been way to long since he retired and passed away is Gale Gillingham. Might have been a better guard then Kramer and Thurston were. He was a 6 time all pro and 5 time pro bowl player and 2 time SB champ. Today any OL has that stats and they are probably a lock for the HOF.

That's a great endorsement.

Sorry, I'm cynical - probably paid for by Lions, Vikings, Bears, and Eagles Defensive Linemen who had him on roller skates.

As down as I am on our offensive line, I admit they somehow played great when Love was out and did well enough against some teams.

But, they did not perform satisfactorily against good teams - Lions, Vikings, and Eagles or against the Bears

Sterling Sharpe interview. Pretty much saying he never cared about getting into the HOF and football was nothing more then a job to him and only thing he cares about now is golf.
