Preseason Game 1: Post Game Green Bay Defeats Cleveland 23-10

The Good: 1st team we only saw them 3 plays but showing they can be quick strike. Defense was out there the whole game making stops and making plays. Have not seen this agressive of a defense in a long time.

The Bad: Bo Melton continued his bad camp into this pre-season game. He can't see to figure out his issues dropping passes and if this continues won't be making the team.

The Ugly: The backup OL depth. Right now the depth is garbage and when injuries will happen GB is going to be in trouble because this OL depth is awful right now.

#Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd said he's been pushing through a hamstring issue in camp and felt it pull while bouncing a run outside. "I've had hamstrings before, so I'll just rehab and get back as fast as I can," he said. Said he can walk on it OK, so he's hoping it's not bad.

Every now and then in a preseason game there is one guy out there for longer than he should be for some reason and he looks like a man amongst boys, and today that was Van Ness.

Also have to add Grant DuBose into the good. Was not healthy at all last year which was why he got cut and spent the year on the PS. But when he was drafted many thought GB had a late round gem. While only practices and 1 pre-season game DuBose is having a good showing so far catching all the passes his way. There is a very good chance he's played his way onto the 53 man roster and making guys like Heath and Melton now having to fight to make the team.

i saw some really encouraging things in the game, but also saw some troubling issues with 2nd stringers. i hope some of these rookies get up to speed quickly. monk was not nearly as good as i expected. and i truly hope we never have to play newman. i'm still hoping he gets cut actually. slightly disappointed with what i saw from melton. maybe he's hoping to get cut so he can go join his brother max in arizona. dillon averaged 0.5 yards per carry. yikes. based on this game, i would rather keep wilson than quadzilla. wilson had more carries than anyone else (15), averaged 5.5 yards per carry, and had a td.

overall, the first unit looked good but they only had three plays, and one of them lost yards. still a long pass for a td is what i'm hoping to see a lot of this year. between wicks and watson we should have guys open deep. i would've liked to see another series from them since that first one was so few plays. i mean doubs, reed, watson and musgrave never had a chance to do anything.

our backup qbs looked pretty bad. that's all i have to say about that. still, somehow dubose looked great catching passes from them.
