If any team wants to invest the time, and roster position in developing Lance, he could end up a serviceable NFL QB. Not a great one, but of some value. The problem is finding roster space to do it.Looks like SF is going to move on from Trey Lance. They are starting Purdy and announced Darnold as QB2.
I liked Lance as a prospect but he was certainly a project. I don't think SF did him any favors in his development. He's bigger than Love, faster than Love, throws harder than Love but man, from the little preseason I've seen from SF, he's not playing QB nearly as well.
I wonder if the Vikings or Lions would pick him up and try to develop him further.
Right now, his confidence level has to be zero, and it will take time to even turn that problem around.
