Interesting pick.

Reports are he's good in coverage, a sore spot with fans for anyone not named Matthews. His workout numbers are near same as Spence and Floyd. His versatility could mean inter changing with Matthews rushing from inside and outside.

OLBer and a Coverage LBer was on the top of my personal need list for the team. Happy with this pick, another A grade for this point of the draft.....good value and filled a huge need.

Tally so far.....
Rd 1 Clark B+
Rd 2 Spriggs A
Rd 3 Fackrell A

I think this is a solid pick.. People talk about ILB being a need. But OLB is just as unsettled and lookin at contract years next year. Right now only Peppers, Elliot, CMII, and tat guy they just signed. If Fackrell can provide depth and possible starter down the road, plus give some move around ability then this is a solid pick for Round 3...

Will just have to wait and see how he does at the next level.

Another average type guy. His combine 40 time of 4.72 is not fast so not sure how he will do in coverage. Dont see the guy as any better than the current OLB's we have. A very "non-exciting" draft so far. 4 more picks today and wont be able to see most of it, but dont think I will really miss anything.

Clark - C - Average guy similar to out current DL outside of Daniels.....betters guys were available
Spriggs - A - Good OT , would of taken in the 1st over Clark
Fackrell - C - Average guy, again similar to what we have at OLB

Dont hate the players, just very blah picks that really arent improvements over what we already have

I don't mind the player per say but think this was a short sighted selection. 2 good ILB were on the board as were 3 good RB a couple of WR and 2 DT. Rather odd ranking putting Fackrell ahead of them. B- from me on this one.

Does anyone have a scouting report of Fackrell? Strengths, weaknesses, that sort of thing?

I like the Spriggs pick but the other two I am lukewarm on.
You hope TT is not picking for need instead of BPA. That could come to bite us down the road.
This pick seems odd when there were better players on the board. Feels like a 4th round pick to me instead of a 3rd.

I'm a little puzzled by the Fackrell pick but it's not like a huge reach. CBS had him as the 70th ranked player, GBN had him at #25 (which is a little weird), Ourlads had him as the #7 OLB, so it's not like taking him where we did is a stretch. I'm just not that pumped about him because it seems like we still have a huge hole at ILB right now. Fackrell seems more like an OLB for us.

The thing is, other than Billings and Hargrave I'm not sure who the "better available players" were. At ILB, Brothers was still there, but he's even slower than the guys we already have and a good bit slower than Fackrell. Same with Wright and Forrest. None of those guys was going to solve our coverage issues at LB. Maybe they look at one of the undersized guys later.

The Clark pick was a need pick, no doubt. Again though, a lot of scouts had him in the area he was picked. The CBS guys had him in this range, and I think a couple mocked him to the Pack. McGinn mocked him to the Pack. The guys at Ourlads had him going even earlier. He had an excellent workout at the combine. There were some other guys at other positions who were better, but I'm not so sure there were better Nose Tackles available - though I had a slight preference for Butler. Billings clearly wasn't better because everyone has passed on him so far, and Carolina took Butler over both Reed and Robinson, so TT wasn't the only GM passing on those guys. DL was the biggest need and TT may have taken the "best available" nose tackle.

Not sure what to make of this guy. Seems like a total wildcard. I don't like the fact that he's a 25 year old rookie who played against lesser competition in college, but he might turn out to be a solid LB. All I know is he can't be much worse than what we have.
