The problem for me is if he comes back, they cut lose Love and tie our cap up and then after a down year he retires and leaves us standing?

Respectfully disagree. The cap consequences trading him last year where just as bad. Also the pool of teams was small then and small now. Just like now Rodgers in many way held the leverage where he wanted to go. If he was self to NY he probably walks away. He’s now coming off an MVP season. I don’t think the dynamics are any different now
