I didnt quite hear it that way at first but I can see where you're coming from. He's a proud dude and doesn't want to be benched, for any reason. He knows he's getting near the end with GB and who knows what his football future holds overall.
 
Wonder if Justin Jefferson got fined for getting pissy and taking his helmet off while on the field and hitting a ref while trying to slam it to the ground. Should have got a 15 yard penalty and been ejected for how he acted on that play.
 
Jefferson's actions will have a long term effect on him. Officials aren't going to allow him to act anything near like that again. He can also expect those 50/50 questions as to whether or not a play is pass interference are not going to go his way, the majority of the time. He's hurt himself, and his team.
