Packers 2023-24 Season Thread

It is hard to say if he's that good or not. At least we know he's showing signs of being better than what most people thought. A lot of their success is also due to the way the offensive plays are being designed/run.

At worst Walker seems like he can be a backup OT which Nijman seemed to fail at this year for some reason. Talk about a guy who cost himself millions.

Another Rasheed Walker tweet: He ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the NFL by PFF grade between Week 9-18. The only better tackles: Penei Sewell, Braden Smith, Tyron Smith, Kaleb McGary, Trent Williams. That's it.

So Rasheed Walker. He was a guy who was on my 2022 mock draft guess I hit. He really has seemed to taken a huge step up this year when thrown into the fire by GB. He struggled early but kept getting better as the season went on. Do you trust him to be the LT of the future or do you still take one high in the draft?

That'll be one of the major questions Gute will need to ask before the draft. That's why they may be better off drafting a guy with versatility. The pure LT only guys might be a waste of draft capital unless the guy is a perennial all-pro level player. A guy like Barton from Mark's mock, or even Taliese or Mims would make more sense. If Walker is the real deal, then at least you have a potential RT/RG that you can insert into the line-up right away.

That’s insane.

I'm inclined to agree. Someone who is versatile, who can fill more than one potential need. Give some of these guys who have shown up for the last few weeks a chance to mature a little more before deciding on whether or not they will be the guy who fills a spot long term.

Love still has a lot of work ahead of him. He hasn't reached anywhere near his potential. It will probably start with footwork. If that improved, he'd be adding to his stats significantly. It's just a matter of time until he feels it, and improves on it. It would also cut down on INTs, because he would eliminate some of the late throws that got him in trouble at times this year.

Man! The high side he could have is amazing. He could make it 3 in a row into Canton if he keeps growing into the job. Wouldn't that be something?

But, way too early to make that announcement. Let's see how next year, and the year after that plays out. You just don't know what will happen until it does.
