I know he’s been told he’s suspended but recent history suggests he may just show up on the field anyway.

I think Tenuta is just in his return window. I believe they designated him to return from IR a week or so ago and he doesn't really count against the roster right now. I think they still have another week. He's just showing up on the injury report because he's in the return window. I believe Emanuel Wilson is in the same situation.
