I noticed Peppers playing time was a little down in the opener. Are they truly saving him for later in the year? This article may provide some answers but I'm wondering if Capers had seen something on film that made him go a different way for the Jags. It'll be interesting to see if his snap count increases against the Vikings.

It was hot down in Jacksonville. They were running players in and out regularly. I think that's the reason we saw him on the field less than normal. I think they're also looking at Perry to see if he can hold up out there.

Let's hope it was nothing else. The guy can be a real force on the edge. He doesn't get beat outside very often.

Thought I read a article earlier this year the team wants to play Perry a lot more to see what they have in him so Peppers playing time is going to go down plus that they feel limiting him will keep him fresher.
