As if all the losing weren’t bad enough, starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson was struck on the head by a line drive in a scary incident Thursday night at Miller Park during the Brewers’ 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.

They broke through the tornado warnings on the radio to let everyone know that Jimmy seemed OK, and that they were gonna take him to the hospital for another look.

It was wicked in real time though. Happy he was able to get up.

It looked horrible on the replay but by how far the fall went after it hit him it is apparent it didn't get him square. Thank God! It could have killed him.
