Re-evaluating a draft three years down the road is easy. Trying to project it a week after it happens is not.

It's easy to second-guess picks in the NFL Draft three years down the road, with the benefit of a players' production adding to the perspective. However, what is difficult to do is to theorize about what impact different moves will have in the coming years just a week after the draft takes place.

One of the popular thoughts lately is that the Green Bay Packers should have passed over defensive tackle Kenny Clark in favor of his UCLA teammate Myles Jack. A healthy Jack would never have been available at the 27th pick, but if his knee checked out he could be the perfect Will linebacker for the Packers' 3-4 defense.

Time will tell if the Packers were right to be conservative about Jack's knee, and fourth-round pick Blake Martinez could help alleviate those concerns if he comes in and plays as well in coverage as he did at Stanford. Still, this will be one of those moves that Packers columnists and fans will likely examine for some time.

In the meantime, the Packers' rookie minicamp officially begins today, so keep an eye out for news from the Don Hutson Center throughout the day.

Packers should have gambled with Myles Jack | Packersnews.com
It's easy to say that now, in hindsight with Jack likely not to need microfracture surgery this year. And personally, I was clamoring for Jack to be the pick at 27 when the Packers were on the clock. But it's clear that the Packers' medical staff was not comfortable with Jack's knee, and that's that. We'll just have to monitor his career to see if it might have worked out.

NFL draft 2013: Grading each team's picks, three years later | SI.com
The Packers' 2013 draft class gets an A- thanks to the picks of Eddie Lacy in round two and David Bakhtiari in round four. Datone Jones gets skewered a bit, though, with the comment that he "was not worthy of being a first-round pick."

Long snapper Brett Goode recovering, hopes to return to Packers | JSOnline.com
Goode's ACL tear cost him the end of the 2015 season and led to the Packers signing Rick Lovato off the street. Lovato now enters OTAs as the team's long snapper, with Goode on the sidelines, but the veteran isn't giving up so easily.

Packers' elite cornerbacks form rare historical duo | Packers.com
Not many franchises boast a top two as good as Herb Adderley and Charles Woodson. Then again, not many teams have two Hall of Famers at the position either.

Todd McShay's early 2017 mock draft shows little faith in Eddie Lacy - ESPN
Sure, Nick Chubb could be a nice player in the NFL. In fact, it's fairly likely. But a running back in round one? I don't think there's a realistic chance of Ted Thompson making that pick.

Washington signs tight end Jordan Reed to 5-year, $50 million extension - SBNation.com
Reed will get $22 million guaranteed, a very big number for a player who has battled through numerous concussions in his career. However, he cashed in big on his great 2015 season, so more power to him.

Clark and Jack's career will always be compared IMO. Especially if Jack winds up being a great player.

Is it possible Jack was so good because Clark kept things cleaned up and open for him? We'll see. If it was Clark's trench work, it will be interesting to see what he can do for our linebackers.

The problem is that Jack is a one and done injury prospect. He could have 3-5 great yrs and boom or he could tear it up in camp and you never get a snap out of him. Risk/Reward situation.
