Re-evaluating a draft three years down the road is easy. Trying to project it a week after it happens is not.
It's easy to second-guess picks in the NFL Draft three years down the road, with the benefit of a players' production adding to the perspective. However, what is difficult to do is to theorize about what impact different moves will have in the coming years just a week after the draft takes place.
One of the popular thoughts lately is that the Green Bay Packers should have passed over defensive tackle Kenny Clark in favor of his UCLA teammate Myles Jack. A healthy Jack would never have been available at the 27th pick, but if his knee checked out he could be the perfect Will linebacker for the Packers' 3-4 defense.
Time will tell if the Packers were right to be conservative about Jack's knee, and fourth-round pick Blake Martinez could help alleviate those concerns if he comes in and plays as well in coverage as he did at Stanford. Still, this will be one of those moves that Packers columnists and fans will likely examine for some time.
In the meantime, the Packers' rookie minicamp officially begins today, so keep an eye out for news from the Don Hutson Center throughout the day.

It's easy to say that now, in hindsight with Jack likely not to need microfracture surgery this year. And personally, I was clamoring for Jack to be the pick at 27 when the Packers were on the clock. But it's clear that the Packers' medical staff was not comfortable with Jack's knee, and that's that. We'll just have to monitor his career to see if it might have worked out.

Not many franchises boast a top two as good as Herb Adderley and Charles Woodson. Then again, not many teams have two Hall of Famers at the position either.

Sure, Nick Chubb could be a nice player in the NFL. In fact, it's fairly likely. But a running back in round one? I don't think there's a realistic chance of Ted Thompson making that pick.

Reed will get $22 million guaranteed, a very big number for a player who has battled through numerous concussions in his career. However, he cashed in big on his great 2015 season, so more power to him.
