Tyler Kuder and Joe Callahan are just a pair of players who are getting a shot in Green Bay after having college football backgrounds that would not normally lend themselves to NFL careers.

The Green Bay Packers are known to agents and young players around the NFL for being one of the franchises with the longest track record of success when it comes to giving undrafted free agents opportunities to earn roster spots. The Packers have a couple of UDFAs on the opening 53-man roster almost every year, and they sign many to practice squad deals as well - and several of those players get called up as well.

This year, the crop of UDFAs looks promising once again, and there are players at all positions who are intriguing and positioned to compete and work their way onto the roster for week one. Their work began in rookie minicamp last week and will continue through OTAs and minicamp this spring before training camp kicks off in July.

Many of those players took atypical routes to arrive on an NFL roster, however, and the Packers have a couple of players in particular with fascinating stories to tell. We bring you a few of those in today's curds, and much more.
