Chris Carter, a six-year veteran, averaged 30 HRs and 78 RBI a season during his three years in Houston. He also batted just .218 and led the league in strikeouts one season.

Geez, I thought they were going in a different direction. Just what this team needs, another free-swinger that doesn't get on base much and can't advance runners because he's striking out. Oh well, they are going to lose a butt-load of games anyway, what's the difference. I suppose they needed a competent first baseman and he is that much at least.
