I don't know how I feel about this, honestly. If we didn't need assistance by other teams to get into playoffs, I'd feel a bit better about just throwing him back into the mix.

NFL.com had a breaking news banner with this info, and Rapoport said he's playing vs the Panthers. Now it looks as if that's been taken down. Anyone know if that's true? I assume that would be up to MM, right?

Okay, the article is back up.

I don't believe medically cleared equals physically conditioned. I believe he needs some time to get back in physical condition to actually hit the field. Give it one more week, and see where they stand then. If we're out of it, let him stay on the sideline, and be ready for next year.

In all honesty, we haven't got a real shot at making the playoffs this year, and all he could do is risk further injury.

If Thompson and McCarthy let him play, and he gets hurt further, they should both be fired immediately!

If we had a snow ball chance in hell to run the table I would say go for it. But with our defense and the teams we are playing 1 out of 3 would be an accomplishment. Guess it's up to MM to make the right call but for some reason I just don't trust his judgement.

If he is medically cleared to play he should play. Fitness should not be an issue as he had a broken collarbone, not a broken leg. I am sure he was able to do plenty of fitness training over the last 4 weeks of rehab.

I don’t think they clear him if they weren’t going to play him this week. Sounds like he’s been conditioning plenty these past couple weeks anyway.

i wholeheartedly agree with your closing thought. This is a big risk for negligible reward. I’m sure Aaron is banging the table hard to play but this is a time when TT and Mm should probably use the clout of their long tenures to make a tough decision and sit him

MM and TT won't be held accountable if gets hurt. AR wants to play. They will throw it on him anyway. MM never takes blame and neither does TT.

If medically cleared, it means its safe to play. They would not put him out there otherwise.

If cleared, he should play regardless if we are in the playoffs or not. You play to win no matter what and he definitely boosts our shot to win games. Being a physical, violent game, he risks injury everytime he steps on the field, just like the play that got him hurt to start with, when he was fully healthy.

i agree with this, but i don't think tt and mm should be fired if they allow him to play. i think they should fire dom capers immediately if aaron rodgers plays. or even if he doesn't play.
