2023 SEASON

• Starting left tackle in every game of 2023.

• Tied for the team lead with 51 pancake blocks.

• Turned in a career-high nine pancake blocks vs UNC.

• A third-team All-ACC performer.

• An ‘elite grader’ vs. VMI, Miami and UNC.

• Earned the o-line’s highest grade vs. Virginia.

• Led the team in knockdowns (4), pancakes (2), and Raleigh Railroads (2) in the win over UConn. (A Raleigh Railroad is a continued sustained block).


2022 SEASON

• Tasked with replacing first-round draft pick Ickey Ekwonu at left tackle, he started the first eight games of the year in that crucial role.

• In for a season-high 71 snaps at Syracuse.

• Tallied six pancakes in the wins over Charleston Southern and Florida State - he started both of those contests


2021 SEASON

• Enrolled at NC State in January of 2021 and went through spring drills with the Wolfpack.

• Saw action in two games - one snap in the opener vs. USF and 10 vs. Furman.


BEFORE NC STATE

Georgia Military

• Transfer from Georgia Military Academy - he came to the Wolfpack with three years of eligibility remaining

• Played offensive tackle one season as a freshman in 2019.

• 2020 at Georgia Military College: Team did not have a fall season.

• 2019 at Georgia Military College: Played in 11 games at offensive tackle. Team posted an 8-3 record.

• Honors: Named to the JCGridiron.com preseason All-American first-team.

• Rankings: Ranked as the No. 5 JUCO offensive tackle nationally by 247Sports.com.


PERSONAL

• Nicknamed “Escalade” by his teammates.

• Major: Sport management.
 
It seems like it's poor value, but I will withhold judgment until it shakes out a bit. We got our asses kicked on the OL last season so I appreciate them adding to the group but I dont think this was the draft position to do it.

Im reading that NC State runs some inside zone? Also I would be shocked if they didnt put him right at RG.
 
BIG reach here...tells you last years #1 isn't all that so we waste a 2nd to fix it. This one hurts as we had a starting corner fall and left him on the board
Was thinking same thing. We took a guy GB could have gotten at 87 to say we fucked up and took Morgan who we don't know if he can even play.
 
This also shows me Walker, Rhyan, Jenkins are all gone after this year so Gute is trying to rebuild 3/5th of the OL for 2026.
 
A project OL if I am reading this correct. He needs work but can become a starting level player.
