Sleepers (or: TTs interview list)

Ted's interview list contains probably like normal only players who are likely to be UDFA's.

Lots of potential contributors as UDFAs!

WRs:
Tim Patrick (Utah) 6’4” 210 4.45 (pro day)
DeAngelo Yancey (Purdue) 6’2” 205 4.53
Francis Owusu (Stanford) 6’3” 220 4.34

LBs
Donavin Newsom (Mizz) 6’2” 230 4.50 Led Mizzou with 73 tackles
Michael Scherer (Mizz) 6’3” 235 4.74 back from knee surgery

You know how TT loves his UDFAs. Really like the Newsom kid. Led Mizz in tackles and has great speed for an ILB.

That's what I would hope TT would do, via the UDFA avenue, is go after some speed at certain positions. Nothing to lose yet you might just find a decent prospect.

Seemed like that's what he did last year. His UDFA group definitely seemed to have some speed guys in there. Both of the safeties (Evans and Brice) plus a couple of the CBs were faster than most of the guys who were already on the squad. Now . . . some of them couldn't play, but I like that he's bringing in some physical talents that you can maybe coach up. Like you say Bud, you may find another decent prospect, or even a Sam Shields that way.

guys on that list who i would like to take a look at:

running backs
Khalfani Muhammad , California Golden Bears , 5-07, 174, 4.37*

wide receivers
Robert Davis , Georgia State Panthers , 6-3, 219, 4.44
Francis Owusu , Stanford Cardinal , 6-2, 223, 4.37*

edge
Trey Hendrickson , Florida Atlantic Owls , 6-4, 266, 4.65

cb
Brian Allen , Utah, 6-3, 215, 4.48
Jalen Myrick , Minnesota Golden Gophers , 5-10, 200, 4.28 (yeah, i know - too short)

Shields was only 5'10 but had a great vertical

I wish also intrigues me as Stanford has a good program and intelligent players which would seem to give him better odds.

I'm with Terra on this. 5'10" should not disqualify, just changes where you might draft him. Guys with less than ideal height can still be valuable especially as nickel and dime corners in today's pass-happy NFL. The occasional really good ones can even play on the outside.

Three OL who seem to fit TTs mysterious code that will be late round/UDFAs:

Kofi Amichia South Florida- Height: 6035 Weight: 302
Levon Myers Northern Illinois- Height: 6046 Weight: 309
Corey Levin Chatanooga- Height: 6036 Weight: 307
