Projected Final 53

So, Packers sign ILB Grigsby after he un-signs? From Ravens deal citing personal/family issues??

Agree that it's still a little early, but based on where things stand today...…………………
QB - Rodgers, Boyle
RB - Jones, Williams, Ford, Hall
FB - Vitale, Bohanan
TE - Graham, Tonyan, Lewis (unless Sternberger gets healthy)
WR - Adams, MVS, Allison, ESB, Davis, Shepherd, Lazard
OL - Bak, BB, Taylor, Turner, Linsley, Jenkins, Light, Madison

DL - Clark, Lowry, Adams, Keke, Lancaster, Brown (cut-resigned)
OLB - Z Smith, P Smith, Gary, Fackrell
ILB - Martinez, Bolton, Crawford, Summers
CB - TWill, Alexander, Jackson, Brown, Sullivan, Ento (cut-resigned)
S - Amos, Savage, Greene, Jones (could become trade bait after rosters have been established)

Offense - 26
Defense - 24
ST's - 3

PUP - Campbell, Roberts
IR - Burks, Sternberger (maybe)

Sternberger practiced today, but ML said he will not play this week against OAK. The guy hasn't practiced/played since August 5th. What kind of plan does ML have for him at this juncture?

I was off on several decisions on this attempt on 8/20.

QB - Rodgers, Boyle (Correct)
RB - Jones, Williams, Ford, Hall (Thought Dexter W. would be on PS)
FB - Vitale, Bohanan
TE - Graham, Tonyan, Lewis (unless Sternberger (IR) gets healthy) (Correct)
WR - Adams, MVS, Allison, ESB Kumerow, Davis, Shepherd, Lazard (After the fact) (I guessed "K's" age might work against him)
OL - Bak, BB, Taylor, Turner, Linsley, Jenkins, Light, Madison - Patrick (Was thinking 8 OL instead of 9)

DL - Clark, Lowry, Adams, Keke, Lancaster, Brown (cut-resigned) (Not sure what I was thinking when I said Brown/cut-resigned)
OLB - Z Smith, P Smith, Gary, Fackrell (Correct)
ILB - Martinez, Bolton, Crawford, Summers (Really got this group wrong, but made this call before Bolton got hurt, and Crawford traded later)
CB - TWill, Alexander, Jackson, Brown, Sullivan, Ento (cut-resigned) (Not sure how I forgot King AND Hollman? Dementia?)
S - Amos, Savage, Greene, Jones (could become trade bait after rosters have been established) (Redmond came out of no where)

K - Crosby
P- Scott
LS- Bradley

Post your final 53

Locks: (38)

QB: Rodgers
WR: Adams, MVS, Allison, Kuemrow
RB: Jones
FB: Vitale
TE: Graham, Sternberger, Tonyan
OL: Bak, Taylor, Linsley, Turner, Bulaga, Jenkins
DL: Adams, Clark, Lowry, Lancaster, Kingsley
LB: P. Smith, Z. Smith, Gary, Fackrell, Martinez, Bolton
S: Savage, Amos, Greene
CB: Alexander, King, Williams, Brown, Jackson
LS: Bradley
P: Scot
K: Crosby

Good Chance: (9)

QB: Kizer/Boyle (While neither should make it one will get the backup job)
RB: J. Williams
WR: Shepard
OL: Light, McCray
TE: Lewis
LB: Gilbert
S: J. Jones
CB: Hollman

IR: (1)

LB: Burks

So my list would leave open 6 more roster spots that really are wide open spots.
Not to bad 37 out of 38 locks and 6 out of 9 good chance

Let's see where I missed.

QB: Rodgers, Kizer, Boyle - I had them with 3. Didn't think Gute would cut his losses on Kizer so quickly.
WR: Adams, MVS, Allison, Kumerow, Shepherd , ESB - did OK here but the ESB injury gave Davis a spot
RB: Jones, J.Williams, D.Williams - though I think it's likely a guy cut from another team gets added here - correct
FB: Vitale - correct
TE: Graham, Sternberger, Tonyan, Lewis is on the bubble if Tonyan can continue to improve his blocking - correct
OL: BakT, Taylor, Linsley, Turner, Bulaga, Jenkins, Light , McCray - off by a couple. I saw Madison as PS worthy and didn't think McCray would fall out of favor because he's so versatile. Patrick is a solid option in his place.
DL: Adams, Clark, Lowry, Lancaster, Keke, F.Brown - correct
LB: P. Smith, Z. Smith, Gary, Fackrell, Martinez, Bolton, Gilbert, Burks (then IR), Crawford, Summers after Burks goes to IR - missed on a few. Did not see them trading Gilbert and the Bolton injury put Summers on the 53 right away. I thought Burks would be IR'd after he made the 53.
S: Savage, Amos, Greene, Jones? (until Campbell comes off PUP) (Redmond's been making plays and might replace Jones) - the early cut of Jones messed this up a little, but I figured Redmond might be in the mix.
CB: Alexander, King, T.Williams, T.Brown, Jackson, Hollman - mostly right. They kept an extra guy here. Sullivan really came on as camp went along.
ST: Bradley, Scott, Crosby - correct

Overall, not too sucky. I still see some weak spots on this roster that will take at least another year to fix, but hey, maybe they surprise me and the weak spots either do better than expected or don't get highlighted. I see the roster weaknesses as - QB, OT & ILB. Lesser weaknesses at RB and S. I'm assuming the WR weakness will sort itself out with "quantity" over "quality". I'm still not sure anyone after Adams is all that good but am assuming 1 or 2 of them will play well.

- If AR stays healthy, QB won't matter.
- Same with OT if BahkT & Bulaga stay healthy. Things could good bad in a hurry, especially if BahkT goes down.
- ILB seems like it's just going to be a problem no matter what. I don't see anyone next to Martinez being all that good.
- RB is fine if Jones plays at least 14 games. JWilliams is capable but not dynamic. DWilliams seems like he can run the ball but still isn't an all-around guy right now.
- S is fine if the starters stay healthy. Greene seems more like a hybrid guy than a true safety and Redmond is unproven.
