Good read...

Every late-round prospect keeps a list of potential suitors close by on the last day of the NFL draft.

The ones who are chosen toss it aside, but many undrafted players lean on it when determining where to sign once the controlled chaos of college free agency starts.

Decisions are made in an instant, so it's important to do homework beforehand. Finding the right fit is crucial and sometimes can be the difference between a lengthy NFL career and a one-and-done appearance in training camp.

This was a good read, plus caught up on other Pack stories while there. :)

Good read. Thanks for posting it, Cheesedog. Personally, I don't always agree with Ted's modus operandi. But I do give him a ton of credit in the UFA dept. The guy does an incredible job at this.

I used to think that way, too. Probably having a starting CB corps of UDFAs for a while covers a lot of misses. However, looking at http://www.packers.com/team/howbuilt.html, it's not nearly as impressive. I really don't have a dog in this fight, so I'm not trying to prove a point, but I'd eliminate our LS and punter, just because those positions are rarely filled with draft choices. Barclay and Richardson are key backups. After that, how many original UDFAs are even a semi-lock to make the team this year?
