Post Game: Packers Defeat Bears 20-19

These division games are brutal, no matter the records of the teams. The Bears kinda did what GB did to Detroit last week. Detroit was high powered and GB slugged it out and held them down. Bears did that to GB today.

I know, I know, I was hard on GB after that Detroit game but you won't hear "I was wrong", come out of my mouth, for three reasons: 1. Because I'm usually never wrong, 2. Because I'm usually never wrong and 3.Because I'm usually never wrong.

Good divisional, gritty, win but they have to start cleaning things up and be more consistent. Defense seemed to be caught off guard today and I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come the rest of the season. Take the win and get out of town and on to the next game.

The other thing I noticed, and maybe it's just me, but does it seem like GB gives up a lot of points before half, when the opponent then gets the ball after half?

Just talked to several players on the Packers FG block unit and all of them said they noticed that Cairo Santos kicked with a low trajectory when doing film study and they expected the Bears to run another a play, which in their opinion, would have made it more difficult to block

You saw that on the long FG he made today. I thought he missed it at first it was so low.

Not a game to be proud of. But a win is a win. Doesn’t matter how. Hats off to ST for coming through in the clutch.

The warts on the def keep showing up. This isn’t all Hafleys fault. He doesn’t have all the pieces he needs to do what he wants yet. I’d look to trade Gary to be honest he’s just not dominant as his salary says he should be.

so just another stupid 1st round defensive draft pick by gute. actually, pretty much that whole draft was a bust except for tucker kraft.
I wanted Broderick Jones at that pick because GB needed a LT and I thought he could fill that role though he's been up and down with his play in Pitt.

i just finished watching the game replay, and i guess there's not a whole lot i can add. i expected this team would come out of the bye well-rested, well-prepared, and loaded for bear (pardon the pun). after that opening td drive, i was definitely feeling like i was right. then love threw another pick and my elation was gone. and then the defense starts playing like they have totally regressed. having to win by an unlikely blocked field goal is totally unsatisfying, and i have to question what the rest of this season is going to look like. we still have 3 more games against our own division. it is clear that we are not winning the division, so we have to fight like heck to get a wild card spot. it won't be easy.
