Post Game Eagles Defeat Green Bay

i know i'm in the minority here, but i think we might have a better chance of winning by playing willis until love gets back. willis said in an interview that the playbook has a lot of similarities to where he came from (which might be one reason they signed him). he's a lot more mobile than clifford, which i think is important because our ol is not ready for prime time. my understanding is that he has a cannon for an arm, so we wouldn't have to settle for running the ball90% of the time. but yes, i will gladly concede that mark knows more about him than the articles that i dug up on the web and he isn't very high on willis (putting it lightly).

See a lot of people bringing up Ryan Tannehill's name but I just think that you sign him he probably is going to take 2-3 weeks before he's ready to play as it will take that time to probably ramp up get in shape to play and get some grasp on the playbook. By that time Love might be back or only 1-2 games away from returning. So I don't think GB would sign him for that.

At this point you're right, you go with what you have and set the playbook accordingly. If in 4 weeks Love isn't back you look at options.

If Love comes back in 3 weeks, he's going to have a problem the rest of the year. He's going to constantly tweak it, and be in pain. He needs to sit until he can use his legs effectively, because that's his game. A stationary Love is not even close to the guy who can move around, as far as his game.

I think he's going to miss 4 games, maybe 5. If they play Willis, we got nothing on offense that they can use. At least, with Clifford in the lineup, it's someone who understand the playbook.

Deprogramming the offense to accommodate Willis will put the offense several weeks behind, and they'll have to start all over, because you lose continuity when you don't stick with it.

Just my opinion.
It's not like that anymore TW, they will put him in a half brace. The new ones are amazing and keep your knee from flexing. I had that 10 years ago and missed 3 shifts and was back to work on it with clearance. Stiff and sore yes but 100% doable with this injury.

Good point. Things have changed a lot. I'd imagine they'll do what's right for him and the team. I just hope that playing with a brace doesn't cause him to change his passing motion. It's just like a baseball pitcher who has a knee or ankle injury continuing to pitch, or returning too soon. The motion changes, and their game goes downhill because of it.

Got my fingers crossed.

I’ve re-watched this throw a lot but just noticed how tight and hobbled Love is with those calf cramps even before the injury. And then look at Myers sliding and flopping. I have mixed feelings on this game because Love was OK, the OL was poor, D was poor - yet they scored 29 and arguably beat themselves with an assist from the crappy field. Don’t know even what to take from it and now we won’t know for a couple more weeks.

Well and saw it posted that the INT on the pass to Musgrave was on him...he's supposed to flatten that route to prevent the safety to make that play and screwed up. Kraft was used as a TE, H-back...FB and slot WR last night. It appears that ML trust him more now than Musgrave
I agree Mark. I think Kraft runs better routes than Musgrave and he blocks better. He is a better all around TE.
