Win over 49ers suggests they're tougher matchup than '11 even if they're not as dominating

This team is developing into the no-Jordy offense. The Davante Adams sprain has complicated the progress and the whole WR corp is dinged up right now. They've lost one of their two TEs. Our lack of deep threat has forced a more 'ball control' attack taking longer to score. This has kept our defense off the field and they stay fresh? Seems like it's working. Not what we expected for sure, but have we had a more satisfying 17-3 win since MM has been here? ARod is even more impressive without Jordy, IMO. He controls the whole field. By matriculating (I love that word!) the ball down the field and winning 'time of possession' has solidified the whole team. Now, as injuries heal, we look forward to Bulaga, Adams, Guion and even Cobb returning to full strength. Packer's identity is balanced with ARod heading toward another MVP award. Good for us.

Didn't I see where Jones also missed practice this week? With Adams definitely hurting and Cobb sort of, we could be looking at a complete receiving corps of Montgomery, Janis, and Abbrederis at wide-out with only Backman behind Rodgers at TE. At some point, even somebody like AR is going to run out of targets. Certainly agree with the 'better distribution' argument, though. Conventional wisdom says that losing Finley in 2010 forced the team into much the same 'who else can we throw to?' mentality.
