i think that retiring just might feel like he lost to gutey, and i don't think that would sit well with him at all. i'm pretty sure he would show up for packers training camp, putting the packers in a difficult situation. they'd probably just pay him the rest of his money and send him home, but i don't think it ever gets to that point.
