Packers 2025 Training Camp Thread

OL and CB are a problem right now...they may prove me wrong in the next 3 weeks, but any kind of injuries in those areas will prove to be problematic.... of course, you still have cut downs and a trade here at the end of the month to fill some voids.
Yep Gute has gone to much Ted relying on his ability to draft and saying were good screw what anyone else says.

Belton??? You have seen his NC State film right?
Please see the second paragraph I wrote. A person can make a prediction without liking at all what the results would be. Walker, Morgan, Belton, Tom. Those are your OTs right now. If Gute can find a better starting/swing OT in cuts, more power to him. But given his pick of the litter over the last 3 years he came away with Walker, Morgan and Belton so my hopes aren’t high.

What was the weather like in GB last night? One strange thing I thought the OL all looked like they were going to have heat stroke. Sucking wind and sweating like crazy, maybe they werent hydrated?
air quality in WI was crap...honestly surprised they practiced that long.

Just looking over the OL roster now and yeah, depth is worse than I thought. I count 7 rosterable players before they get to the trio of Donovan Jennings, Travis Glover and Kadeem Telfort, who are all like the same guy to me. They had Jennings at RT with the twos and he embarrassed himself for three snaps in a row so hopefully that’s over with. Cooper I think is the guy they drafted in the 7th round but he’s going to be a PS stash for the year. On top of all that you have the starting LG and starting C both missing time with back injuries already. Not ideal, kind of rough.

had to practice long enough for it to get dark for the fireworks - which were pretty lame. from what i saw on tv we have better fireworks here - even though they are illegal, way too many locals manage to get hold of some pretty fancy fireworks. drives my dog crazy.

I think thats the thing I want to see in preseason this year. If they can't keep pressure off Love it's going to be a long year.

i'm just not sure how much we're actually going to see of the starters in preseason. but i share your hopes.

Last year Jordan Love played what, 4 snaps? One of them was a bomb TD to Wicks and that was it. I don’t think we’re going to see him, heck we may nit even see Golden either and some guys like that.

i agree. i was mostly wondering if we will even see the starting ol. my guess is they're going to be experimenting with different combinations all through preseason.

Saw article on ESPN with on of their writers visiting Packers camp on 7/31. If this is what he was told then and Lloyd I think being hurt a day or two prior means Lloyd could be back anytime now to maybe another week.

Running back: I'm told the outlook for MarShawn Lloyd's groin injury is roughly one to two weeks, so he could be back as early as next week. Don't be surprised if the Packers, who love versatility on offense, experiment with backups Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson playing hybrid or fullback-type roles at times.
