Packers 2024-25 Season Thread

It tells you a little more about Josh's mindset. It's the game, and it's where you play it that matters. At a certain point, money should become secondary to other things. You only need so much, and being happy with the decisions you make are more important than the cash itself.

NEWS: Josh Jacobs was offered 4 million more per YEAR to sign with the #Giants, but he turned it down because of the New York TAXES, artificial turf at MetLife Stadium, and the MEDIA. Jacobs could have gotten 15 to 16 million from the G-Men per year.
Taxes in Wisconsin aren't much better are they? Also strange that they'd offer him so much more money than Saquan Barkley got. That report doesn't smell right to me but I'm glad Jacobs is here.

AJ Dillon the person seems like a great guy but I honestly like the RB room better without him. He had that one play in preseason, I guess that first game, where it was a 2nd and 2 or something and he got stood up high for no gain. Like, that should not be happening with a man his size at this point in his career. And no way should have been taking snaps away from Lloyd. Nice guy and good spokesman for the team but it just hasn't worked out.

The Green Bay Packers signed RB Chris Brooks to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction on Tuesday.
Brooks (6-1, 219), a second-year player out of BYU, was originally signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played in nine games for the Dolphins as a rookie, recording 19 carries for 106 yards (5.6 avg.), and appeared in a postseason contest. Brooks spent four years at the University of California-Berkeley (2018-21) before spending one season at BYU (2022), where he registered 130 carries for 817 yards (6.3 avg.) and six TDs. His rushing average ranked No. 4 in single-season school history. Brooks will wear jersey No. 30 for the Packers.

I'll save you all a lot of reading - except for Jordan Love, no one really had a choice. The end.
Couple players wanted zero but because the Packers are old fuddy dudies they won't give it out.
